Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate, Joe Biden pairs well with the Auchentoshan Select Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The Auchentoshan Distillery is located in the Lowlands, distilling with waters that have come down from the highlands. Joe Biden is a US Senator from one of the lowest lying States, Delaware. In fact, only Death Valley is lower. Joe Biden also has come down from the heights of Scranton, PA where he was raised. He has also lowered his sights from the Presidential Nomination rather early in the game.
The Auchentoshan Select provides no age statement, neither does Senator Biden. Its color is a shimmery pale gold, just like Biden. Check out Biden’s tan, and the light weight appearance. Auchentoshan Select’s nose is like cookies fresh from the oven, but it has a lightly oily mouth feel which is similar to the sensation I get in my mouth whenever I hear Senator Biden speak. The Auchentoshan’s finish is of lemon grass, with just a hint of spice. No smoke, not very complex. Hmmm, am I the only one who sees the comparison?
Being from the Lowlands, the Auchentoshan is also highly taxed. Joe Biden has never seen or met a tax he didn’t like. One wonders whether the Auchentoshan is the best choice to bring to a party, just like Senator Biden recently questioned whether he was the best choice for his Party. Yes maybe the Balvenie Sherry Wood (a true “chick” Scotch) might be a better choice to bring to a party, and maybe another chick might have been a better choice for the Democratic Party. It is questionable whether the Auchentoshan Select with no age statement has acquired enough maturity and experience in the cask, just as Joe Biden questioned the maturity and experience of his running mate during the primaries.
The Auchentoshan may have a difficult time standing up to the more intense complexities of an Islay or a Speyside, but Joe Biden will never have difficulty asking his supporters to stand up, even if they are bound to a wheelchair.
